Who can use the NHS contraception service?
You may be eligible if you are:

Between your first period and 49 years old (or 54 for progesterone-only pill).

Looking to start or continue oral contraception (combined pill or progestogen-only pill).

Willing to have a short private consultation with a pharmacist.
This service is not for emergency contraception (morning after pill) — but we also provide this for free under a separate NHS service, click HERE if you require the emergency contraceptive service..
At your appointment, we may record:

A recent or in-pharmacy blood pressure reading.
What to Expect During Your Visit
Our pharmacist can assess your symptoms and provide same-day NHS treatment if suitable.
Step 1: Book or Walk-in
Walk in, or book online an appointment at Whittington Pharmacy in Lichfield.
Step 2: Assessment & Health Review
We’ll review your medical history, blood pressure, and check the pill is safe for you.
Step 3: Treatment or Referral
If suitable, your pill will be supplied immediately. If not, we’ll refer you to the right service.
